The problem with getting all bundled up for the winter is that once you get inside you're stuck with coat, scarf, hat, gloves... and you're sweating in seconds. The pidge scarf—a shorter-than-usual neckwrap with a button closure-project from Threadbanger solves one problem: you can easily stuff it in your bag or coat pocket and avoid all that extra heat. Threadbanger's Rob and Corrinne show you how to make the scarf using knitting needles and standard yarn; we suggest swapping those out for chopsticks and ethical alternatives. Or, if you've never done any knitting but are pretty handy with a sewing machine, you could make a similar scarf by trimming an old wool sweater down to the right size.
